“Chicken a la Tripoli” is extremely delicious. It’s a recipe that uses almost all lebanese spices becoming aromatic, seductive and extremely attractive.
This chicken recipe is a true symbol of fragrance and taste for Lebanese cuisine.
Tripoli is the second largest city in Lebanon, after the capital Beirut, a city of legendary hospitality that has managed to keep alive traditions and local culture, so tourists can feel the throbbing pulse and the authentic atmosphere of this wonderful city.
The original recipe is for chicken with potatoes (source: www.rasarit.com), but I will introduce you the dietetic recipe without potatoes.
-"five flavors" mixed
-3-4 cloves of garlic
Wash chicken drumsticks, sprinkle them with salt and spices (pepper, "five flavors" or cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander).
Fry chicken drumsticks over medium heat.
When brown on both sides, remove them from the pan.
Place brown drumsticks (not ready) in a tray, sprinkle them with a sauce made from lemon juice, ground garlic and some olive oil and place tray into oven.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until you see the meat shrinks from the bone.
Serve with salad and yoghurt sauce.
This is delicious and very tender.
