  Broccoli sote with butter, lemon and garlic

Broccoli has miraculous properties, scientific research showing that it's a true sources of vitamins (A, B, C), magnesium, phosphorus and potasium.

Eating broccoli which is correctly prepared from a thermic point of view (meaning, less than 10 minutes) helps prevent cancer and strenghens the cardio-vascular system.

But broccoli is not only very healthy but it's also very tasty. The most efficient method to prepare broccoli (keeping most of its nutritious principles) is steam-boiling and sote.

The butter, lemon and garlic compliment perfectly the broccoli steam-boiled for only 5 minutes.



Ingredients:
- one broccoli
- one spoon of butter
- lemon juice
- 1-2 cloves of garlic
- green salad
- 2 tomatoes


Wash the broccoli and open it in bouquets. Wash it again.


Put the broccoli in the steamer. Let it boil for 5 minutes.


After 5-6 minutes the color becomes dark green.


Take the broccoli bouquets and rinse them in cold water. In this way, the broccoli will preserve its green color.


Melt one spoon of butter.


Temper for one minute the grinded garlic.


Squeeze half a lemon over the garlic sauce, mix until it becomes homogeneous .


Add the broccoli in the wok and mix it with the lemon sauce, butter and garlic.
Sote the broccoli maximum one minute.


Take the broccoli bouquets on a platter, and boil the sauce for another mintue to reduce it further.


Sprinkle the broccoli with sauce, decorate the platter with slices of tomatoes and green salad.



You can serve it right away. It's a delicious salad, ideal for the fasting days (replace the butter with olive oil).
